The Nyambya Tea Company produces CTC Black Tea, accounting for 1.5% of the Ugandian tea production.
Originally partially planted in the late 1960's the estate has grown, and with the construction of our own tea factory which was commissioned in 2010 we manage all aspects of tea production. From the plant nursery, to packing and distribution, the tea grown on the plantations 130 hectares, and by its 130 registered growers, yields just under a million kilograms of tea each year.
We take great pride in the tea we produce, and have programs in place to support those who work with us, including community based projects, and those directly related to staff welfare, such as housing, facilities and education.
